Research question 3
: Among health workers providing care to women and girls living with any type of FGM or at risk of FGM, does the existence or enforcement of laws and policies on mandatory reporting by health workers, on criminalizing the practice of FGM, and on promoting access to FGM prevention and care services, as well as professional codes of conduct against the medicalization of FGM, versus lack of such laws, policies and/or codes of conduct, reduce medicalization of FGM and lead to improvements in quality and compassionate care for their clients and/or patients?
